Junior Software Engineer

We are seeking an individual to join our fast paced, Agile Engineering team. The candidate will contribute to the development of different web or mobile projects we are currently working on so he/she will be exposed to real applications where cutting edge technologies and techniques for creating robust, dynamic and distributed software is applied.

Responsibilities

  • Implementation of different stories for web or mobile projects
  • Design and write comprehensive unit tests.
  • Participate in code reviews.
  • Participate in architecture design
  • Engage in daily scrum meetings and periodic sprint planning and review.

Job Requirements
Must

  • Work experience (1-2 years) in with one or more OOP languages such as Java,C++, C#, etc
  • Working experience (1-2 years) with JavaScript
  • Work experience(1-2 years) with one or more distributed version control systems such as Git, SVN, etc
  • Work experience(1-2 years) with one or more DBMS such as SQL Server, MySQL,etc
  • Must have participated in the implementation of a customer facing application either doing frontend or backend

Good to have (Bonus)

  • Familiar with with ReactJS
  • Familiar with NodeJS
  • Familiar with non relational databases such as MongoDb , CouchDB etc
  • Familiar with continuous integration and continuous delivery practices
  • Familiar with cloud computing services such as AWS, Azure, etc
  • Familiar with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit
  • Familiar with mobile development languages such as Swift, Android,
  • Familiar with Agile methodologies such as Scrum

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
  • Strong Communication & Technical skills

  • Proficient in English (Written and Spoken)

Software Architect

Job description

What you’ll do as a Software Architect

  • Lead the charge in defining the architecture that a project or product will be built on top of
  • Stay abreast of current design trends and technologies and recommend which to avoid, which to adopt, and when.
  • Stay abreast of current Cloud Computing services to be adopted in the different projects/products
  • Proactive in finding solutions, new frameworks, languages etc that could help in building software better
  • Work together with other Software Architects and Software Engineers on improving software best practices (design, coding, troubleshooting, work breakdown, work estimation, refactor strategies, automated testing, etc.)
  • Defines and promotes building and usage of common frameworks and libraries across different projects/products
  • Mentors provide guidance and coach Software Engineers in different software architectures/frameworks or work solutions.

Competencies: Must

  • Work experience (3-5 years) building large scale, high availability SAAS applications
  • Work experience (2+ years) of demonstrable experience designing and implementing products and services on top of the AWS stack
  • Work experience (5+ years) in with one or more OOP languages such as C++, C#, Java, etc
  • Work experience (3-5 years) with Agile methodologies such as Scrum
  • Work experience(2+ years) with Relational and Nonrelational Databases
  • Excellent knowledge of Software Architecture principles
  • Experience with Microservices Architectures
  • Work experience with one or more version control systems such as Git, SVN, etc
  • Experience developing rich application UIs using JavaScript Frameworks (ReactJS, AngularJS, Ember, etc.) is highly desirable

Good to have (Bonus)

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect
  • Familiar with Agile methodologies such as Scrum
