PLS, one of America’s most successful and fastest-growing consumer financial services companies, commissioned TangoCode to create a mobile app for their 80,000+ customers. This allowed users to easily access their banking information, reducing the burden on customer service representatives and cutting call center costs in half.

Challenge
As PLS began to grow rapidly, their customer support operations began to buckle. They needed a mobile application that could supplement their support division. This was a pressing issue, so they needed an intuitive interface that would be easily and quickly adopted by their users and they needed it done immediately. Given the sensitive nature of the financial application, the development, implementation, and quality assurance of the mobile apps had to be executed with precision, including connection to FIS.
Actions
We built a super sleak and easy-to-use app for iPhone and Android. In addition to that, we developed a web admin app that overrode each of these to ensure everything ran smoothly. We took extra care to ensure the architecture could support actions as sensitive as financial transactions.
Results
The Choices On The Go mobile app for iPhone and Android devices was launched successfully and received a high number of downloads and positive ratings. Within three months of its release, the app was downloaded more than 20,000 times and had over 17,000 unique active users. It received a 4.6-star rating in both the Apple and Android app stores, which indicates that it was well-received by users. This is a significant accomplishment for PLS and its customers, and it demonstrates that the project was a resounding success.
